STRADDLE LIFT MACHINE

This Straddle Lift Machine was designed and built for the foundry industry. It can safely and efficiently clamp & lift, transport, and lower & unclamp sand molds ranging in size from a 36” cube weighing 3,000 lbs. to a 74” cube weighing slightly less than 22,000 lbs. This machine was mounted on four (4) hardened wheels, and rides on floor level crane rail. The drive system consists of two (2) VFD compatible electric gear motors with brakes. Both acceleration and deceleration are VFD controlled with a maximum speed of 30 FPM.

The clamping, unclamping, lifting, and lowering motions are controlled hydraulically with an on-board, self contained hydraulic power unit. The operator controls for this machine are located on a swing arm push-button pendant, allowing maximum visibility of the payload and the machine in motion.
